Firmware after a mechatronic replacement

A new or used mechatronic does not automatically contain the old unit's software. First match the hardware and the number that belongs on this car. Then either download the file for that number or, if the unit came from another car, look at Immo Off.

A unit for this car

The VIN or the label gives the number. A catalog file costs 20 € and has to match the version you chose.

A unit from another VIN

For DQ200, DQ250, DQ381 and DQ500, read the flash and EEPROM and run Immo Off for 30 € with the VIN of the car it is fitted to.

Other gearboxes

For DL501, DL382, DQ400, VL381 and VL380 the site only matches a file. There is no Immo Off.

Where to do this

A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.

Short answers

Does the hardware match by itself?

No. The workshop checks the numbers on the housing.
