Writing the VIN into the gearbox dump

The dump for this service is the pair of files, flash and EEPROM, read from the unit you are moving. The site writes the new car's VIN into it and switches the immobilizer off in the firmware. Hand editing in a hex editor is not required, and the site does not describe it.

Where the files come from

From the workshop programmer, from this same unit. A catalog file from another car is not the dump used to write the VIN.

What goes back into the unit

The archive you receive, written back the same way the original was read. The price is 30 €.

If the dump already has a different VIN

Still enter the VIN of the car the unit is fitted to now. The old number in the dump is what has to be replaced.

Where to do this

A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.

Short answers
