A full backup of the gearbox unit

A full backup is the read set of a unit. It is not a promise that every catalog file contains everything. The page names the parts: flash, internal EEPROM, external EEPROM, full backup, and sometimes the read history.

Why you read the contents

If the write needs the external EEPROM and the set only has flash, this file will not do the job. You can see that before paying 20 €.

A backup and Immo Off

A full backup from the catalog does not replace a fresh read of the unit you are moving. Immo Off wants the flash and EEPROM from that unit.

File names

The long name on the page is internal. Choose by the software number, the version and the file-type label.

Where to do this

A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.

Short answers

Does every set include an mmf?

No. Only where the page shows a full backup.

Can I buy just the EEPROM?

No. You buy that version's set as it exists in the database.

Is the price the same?

Yes, 20 €, however many parts are listed.
