DQ200 gearbox firmware
The DQ200 is a seven-speed gearbox with a dry clutch. On the mechatronic label the software is usually 0AM or 0CW. 0AM is the familiar first generation, 0CW is the second, used on many MQB cars.
How to find the file
In the catalog choose the DQ200 filter or type the number, for example 0AM300065G, and the version after a space if you know it. If you have no number, start with the VIN on the homepage: it shows the software for that car.
Immo Off for the DQ200
When the unit is fitted to another car, the DQ200 has a separate service: Immo Off and a VIN change in the dump. The form asks for the generation, Gen 1 or Gen 2, and for your own flash and EEPROM. That is not a substitute for a catalog file.
What must not be mixed
An 0AM file is not written into an 0CW unit, or the other way around. The version has to match the one you chose as well. A dry-clutch DQ200 and a wet-clutch DQ250 are different gearboxes, even on similar cars.
Where to do this
A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.
