DQ381 gearbox firmware
The DQ381 is a newer seven-speed wet gearbox. The software number on these units usually starts with 0GC. Do not replace it with a DQ250 0D9 file, even though both are wet and both appear on MQB cars.
Matching
The DQ381 catalog filter narrows the list to this gearbox. If you only know the start of the number, type 0GC. A full number and version open the file page when they match one file.
Factory version and a replacement
The VIN shows which software belongs to the car. Recovery needs a file with the same number and the version you chose. A unit from another car is a different job: DQ381 Immo Off, using your flash and EEPROM and the VIN of the car it is fitted to.
Price
A catalog or VIN file is 20 €. Immo Off with the VIN change is 30 €. They are separate payments. One is not included in the other.
Where to do this
A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.
Short answers
Which number does the DQ381 use?
Look for 0GC on the label. The name DQ381 alone does not select a file.
Will an 0D9 file do?
No. 0D9 is a DQ250. Do not write it into a DQ381 unit.
Is Immo Off available?
Yes, for the DQ381, from your own flash and EEPROM readout.
