DSG firmware from the VIN
The VIN is what you use when the software number on the label cannot be read. It is the 17 characters from the car body. From it the system finds the vehicle and shows the gearbox software number that belongs to it.
What the result shows
Next to the software number are the versions: the current one, newer ones and older ones. The current version is marked. You can see what is on the car now and which file can replace a lost one, when that file is in the database.
When the VIN does not replace the label
The VIN shows the software that belongs to the car as it left the factory. If the car already has a different unit than the original one, use that unit's label or its own readout, not only the body VIN.
Payment and the file
You download the version you need after payment, 20 €, only when the file is in the database. No registration: a button on the page and a copy to the email you entered.
Where to do this
A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.
Short answers
How many characters are in a VIN?
17. Latin letters and digits. In the field on the site the letters turn into capitals as you type.
Does every version in the list download?
No. A button is shown only for a version whose file is in the database.
Is this a tune lookup by VIN?
No. The result is the factory software number and its versions for a unit repair.
